Dear Grace,
This is a small piece of fabric that was embroidered on a baby shirt by your Great Grandmother Wunderly. Your daddy wore this shirt when he was a little baby. I saved it to pass onto my grandchild and now it will be in your quilt.
All our love, Mimi and Poppie

"O sweet little princess, who came from so far
To the Wunderly family, how lucky you are
Know that this symbol of silk and lace
May some day drape your beautiful face
Perhaps a christening, a communion or a bride
Whatever it may be, please wear it with pride
Your parents have given you such a beautiful name
So nothing but lace for sweet Princess Grace"

This is from Brad's relatives, Grace and Chet! So, so pretty!!!

This fabric is from our neighbors, the Naiks who are from India. It is so special to us since it is true Indian fabric. We are so grateful to have it!

Nancy Frick, our social worker and all around wonderful woman, gave us this adorable fabric. It came with this wish,
"Your Mom, Dad and brothers have waited a long time for you to come home! Ladybugs are suppose to bring good fortune...they have brought you to a loving and wonderful home where you will always find love and happiness. Welcome!"

This adorable fabric is from Nate and Aidan's teachers, Mrs. Hange and Mrs. Moore. It came with this wish,
Who knows the joys that lie ahead
The secret smiles I'll find,
The friends I'll meet
The memories sweet,
The cares I'll leave behind.
Who knows the beauty of the days,
I've never seen before.
My only wish for life is this
The courage to explore.

Our good friends and neighbors, The Gortons, gave us this beautiful butterfly fabric along with this sweet poem:

Relationship of Mother and Daughter
You can see it in their eyes,
in tender hugs and long good-byes,
a love that only moms and daughters know.

You can see it in their smiles,
through passing years and changing styles,
a friendship that continually seems to grow.

You can see it in their lives,
the joy each one of them derives,
in just knowing that the other one is there...

To care and to understand,
lend an ear or hold a hand,
and to celebrate the memories they share.

Aunt Jane and Uncle Bob sent us this adorable fabric. It is from a dress that Brad's cousins, Jessie and Becky, wore when they were little. The fabric is extra special since there is a long line of Merchant Marines in their family, including Uncle Bob! Their wish for the baby is that her life is filled with love, laughter, happiness and good health! We love it! Thanks so much!
