Denise and Andy watched the boys recently and secretly took them to buy fabric for the quilt. They each told her their message for the baby and did a great job keeping it a secret until Christmas. It was so sweet!!! Thank you so much for doing this. It means so very much to us!!!
Denise and Andy chose this beautiful palm tree fabric because they love to vacation in the tropics.
Their message spoke of how the baby has already touched their lives and can't wait for her to finally become part of our family. They wish for her a life filled with love, support and encouragement.
They also included this poem:
No longer strangers,
We share a special bond of love
With a very precious gift
From our God above.

Nate chose this cute camping fabric. Here is his message:
To my new baby sister,
I can't wait to take you on your first camping trip.
I'm so excited to meet you!

Aidan chose this adorable fabric with sledding penguins. His message said,
To my new baby sister
I can't wait to be your big brother
and to take you sledding.
It's going to be so much fun!

This adorable ladybug fabric came from my Aunt Ginny and Uncle Pete! My aunt chose this fabric because ladybugs are very special and symbolic to her! But to make this fabric even more meaningful, ladybugs are suppose to be a sign that a child referral is coming! We love it!! Thank you so much!
They also included this poem (which of course brought me to tears!)
Longing for a child to love, we'd wish upon the stars above.
In our hearts we always knew, a part of us was meant for you.
We dream of all the joy you'll bring, imagining even the littlest things.
The way it will feel to hold you tight, and tuck you in every night.
The drawings on the refrigerator door, childhood toys across the floor.
The favorite stories read again and again, hours of games with make-believe friends.
The day you'll take our outstretched hands, a journey ended, but our lives begin.
We'll be mesmerized by your sweet face, still warmed inside by our first embrace.
We promise to give you a happy home, a loving family all your own.
A house you'll soon make complete, with laughter, smiles, and tiny feet.
A parent is one who guides the way, know we will be there everyday.
Rest easy as each night you sleep, a lifetime of love is yours to keep.

This fabric is from our wonderful neighbors and friends, the Towsens. Their wish was all tied into the design on the fabic. It was so sweet and creative!!!
Chase butterflies around your new home
Wear your first Easter bonnet
Build a sand castle with your big brothers
Fix something with your clever daddy
Plant flowers with your special mommy

This cute baseball fabric came from my sister, Michelle, Lisa and Christopher. They chose this because sports are a big part of their lives. Their wish made me cry (surprised???). Take a look...
We wish for you to grow up as a carefree child, inquisitive teenager, and a strong, independent woman who evokes change in this world, all while knowing you were loved before we ever met you.
Thank you so much!

This adorable fabric came from the Hooper family. It's from a favorite dress of Meghan's. You can see how cute she was in it! Their note spoke of how we went from neighbors to close friends and how much fun it will be to see our little girls grow up together, just like our boys have been doing for the past 8 years. Again, I got all weepy while reading another note. :) We are so blessed to have such wonderful friends!!!

Our very dear friends, Bonnie and Reed Mangino, sent us this adorable fabric. We love the international vibe it brings! It came with this beautiful poem that brought tears to my eyes...
She first came in an envelope, with letters, forms, and such
Just a tiny little picture, with nothing warm to touch.
She grew in your imaginations, in your hearts and in your minds.
She has brought you even greater joy, than you'd ever thought you'd find.
A phone call started labor pains, which lasted 'til you met.
Strangers brought together, a day you won't forget.
Your wanting and your waiting, are finally at an end.
Your precious child is home to stay, a gift that God did surely send.
